Rubber Stone

Rubber rock is 3-step process that begins with the collection and processing of used tires. Tires are collected from across the country and processed at a facility located in Saskatchewan. During processing, the tires are shredded and then screened into different sizes. After screening, the fragments are bagged and shipped as Rubber Stone!

Once the Rubber Stone arrives on-site it is mixed to become a mat that is approximately ¾" thick, and is firmly bonded to the surface below using one of the toughest industrial binders available. The mixed Rubber Stone is toweled down to provide a surface that is soft, durable, and 100% recycled! In fact, for every 25sqft of rubber stone installed, 3 tires are kept out of a landfill.

Will it last? Yes! Think of how much wear and tear the tires of your vehicle take each day: they go through hot summers, cold winters, and everything in between! And, with a re-coat of polyurethane every 4 or 5 years, your Rubber Stone surface will stay bonded to the surface below for many years to come!

There's also 7 different colors to choose from in addition to black: brown, beige, blue, green, yellow, red, and grey. The colored rubber chips aren't just dyed or tumbled either, they are EPDM chips recycled from factories in Germany! That means that if you choose to put color in your Rubber Stone it will not burn off or rub off over time.
