Community Involvement

Central Alberta Tile One has been involved in a large variety of charities in the past, and continues to provide ongoing support to a number of local and national organizations.

Festival of Trees

Festival of Trees

2015 - Central Alberta Tile One is proud to continue in our annual sponsorship.

2014 marked the 21st year for the Festival of Trees and Central Alberta Tile One is proud to continue in our annual sponsorship. Over the past 20 years, through the generosity of sponsors, supporters and volunteers, the Festival of Trees has raised over 10 million dollars to provide exceptional health Care in our Region. This year's proceeds will be focused on enhancing patient care and services in the new Obstetrical Operating Room at the Red Deer Regional Hospital .

Central Alberta Tile One was happy to be a sponsor for the 2013 ‘Trade-itional Holiday Home’. Funds from the event and the homes sale went towards purchasing and installing a new imaging unit in the operating room at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre. The unit will be used for numerous urological procedures, including helping to determine causes of urinary tract infections and detecting cancers.

Hunting Hills High School Safe Grad

HHHS

Central Alberta Tile One is pleased to support the graduating classes of Hunting Hills High School. We make an annual donation to the Safe Grad program so these young adults can safely celebrate the achievement of completing their high school education and beginning the next phase of their young adult lives.

Achievement Award - RD Public School Division

Red Deer Public Schools

Central Alberta Tile One sponsors the Annual Academic Excellence Award geared for a special individual who has had exceptional grades throughout their senior year.

Cancer Societies

2013 marked the 75th anniversary for the Canadian Cancer Society. It is an occasion to look back on the Society’s successes over 75 years. There is so much to be proud of but there is much more to be done. Central Alberta Tile One has continued to support a variety of cancer societies including the Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation, and Prostate Cancer Canada

Breast Cancer:

Breast Cancer

By donating to the Foundation, you are joining a national movement dedicated to creating a future without breast cancer. Together, with your support, the Foundation will continue funding vital research, education and awareness programs and improving the quality of life for those affected by breast cancer.

Movember – Prostate Cancer:

Prostate Cancer

There are an overwhelming amount of Canadians who have supported the prostate cancer cause by growing and grooming a moustache and having conversations about the disease. The goals of Prostate Cancer Canada are twofold - to fund research that will uncover better diagnostic and treatment options and to provide comprehensive support services for those living with prostate cancer.

Kids Cancer Care:

When it comes to raising money for the Kids Cancer Care Foundation, a local fundraiser had players hitting the ice for 24 hours. The 24-hour hockey game is returned to Penhold after raising over $3,000 in 2012 for the cause. Funds from 2013 TBA.

Optimists Club

Cures for Kids

We have several staff members that are a part of the red deer optimists club. Members are united in their purpose of developing Optimism as a philosophy of life; inspiring respect for the law; promoting patriotism; working for international accord and friendship among all people; and aiding and encouraging the development of youth. Optimist Clubs are united through Optimist International, one of the largest service organizations in the world. With over 4,000 clubs and more than 126,000 members throughout North America, Europe, and the Caribbean, Optimists conduct over 65,000 service projects and spend over $78 million on community projects that serve over six million youth in our communities annually.

Cures for Kids Radiothon:

Proceeds from the Radiothon provide the “best summer ever” for children to be involved in the ‘Reading College Program’. This project supports struggling readers to improve their skills, interest and motivation to read through an amazing summer program. This commitment to education and students is crucial for our growing children and generations, and there is much anticipation that the program will grow to support more students in the future. Not only does the Radiothon support Reading with the College, it also supports Camp Alexo, Camp Quality (for kids with cancer) and MS Teen Escape...so many excellent causes to support children in our community.

 MS Society of Canada

MS Society

Central Alberta Tile One is pleased to support the Multiple sclerosis Society of Canada. While it is most often diagnosed in young adults, aged 15 to 40, we know that it affects children, some as young as two years old. The impact is felt by family, friends and by the community. MS is unpredictable, affecting vision, hearing, memory, balance and mobility. Its effects are physical, emotional, financial, and last a lifetime. There is no cure.

Womens Outreach Society

Women's Outreach

Every year Central Alberta Tile One Staff members make their own personal donation for the Womens Outreach Society for Christmas, and Central Alberta Tile One matches each of these donations, and the need has never been greater. As a sponsor you can help to bring Christmas to a less fortunate family in Red Deer. If you would like to "adopt" a family this Christmas, or make a donation then please contact the Women’s Outreach Society.

RD Hospice Society

Red Deer Hospice

The Red Deer Hospice is a home for the terminally ill and provides a quiet and caring environment for individuals who are at the end of life's journey, a home away from home. Located in the quiet area of Anders on the Lake with the beautiful Memorial Gardens across the street, the Hospice has 10 comfortably appointed individual rooms and includes family support areas, a dining area and a sanctuary. Professional nursing care 24 hours a day, personal support, companionship, bereavement and spiritual support are integrated in their home-like setting.

Canadian Blood Services

Canadian Blood Donors

Donors are the heart of the Canadian Blood Services blood supply system, the lifeline to hundreds of thousands of Canadians who, each year, need blood, blood products or stem cells. Without generous and committed donors, there would be no blood system in Canada. If you are already a donor, thank you; if not, "it's in you to give." Central Alberta Tile One encourages staff members to donate blood, and offers rewards to staff for doing so (we have approximately 15 continuous donors).
